A Working Example

Many clients ask "what is it that you do?" and "how does it work"?  Often a good way to explain NT Kinesiology is to provide an example.

Our bodies have this wonderful ability to heal themselves - you see this constantly with minor injuries like cuts and bruises.  Sometimes however this process gets "stuck" or blocked and not matter what we do things just don't get better.  For example, you may have a painful wrist which seems to consume all your energy and despite lots of doctor or physio visits, it doesn't appear to be improving. As a result you are continually focused on the pain or discomfort in the wrist and may also be experiencing frustration or even depression as a result.  Painkillers work for a while and minimise the symptoms, but don't actually repair the damage or make the pain disappear completely.

An NT Kinesiology Balance interacts with your mind/body systems via Kinesiology (muscle testing) revealing the source or origin of the problem that is creating a stress. This could be emotional, mental, physical or energetic or any combination of these.  NT Kinesiology assists in unblocking the energy systems that's restricting your ability to repair or recuperate. So, in the case of an injured wrist, we look at not only the physical aspects of the injury, such as ligaments, tendons, etc and ensure there are no blocks to proper function, we also look at other areas that may be negatively effecting the outcome.

Everything we do has context; a relationship to a set of circumstances that influences our experiences. Work is a context, so is a relationship. In this case of the injured wrist we also look at the circumstances around the injury, the context.  If for example the injury occurred whilst skiing and you experienced pain and trauma, you may now have difficulty watching other people skiing.  This emotional response if left unresolved will continue to hamper your recovery from the injury.  There may also be associations, other things that were also happening, such as a fight with your partner.  Now every time you have conflict in your relationship the pain in your wrist "flares" up.

These are the sorts of the things an NT Kinesiology session seeks to address and resolve.  Many people don't consciously make these links to their recuperation process and while they want results often feel frustrated when they don't get them.  NT Kinesiology offers an alternative approach to health and wellbeing.
